About Katie
Katie joined Schirger Feierabend LLC in 2024 after three years of practice with a highly respected Kansas City law firm where her experience included litigating personal injury cases for both plaintiffs and defendants, as well as prosecuting class action lawsuits involving violations of consumer protection statutes, among other claims, in state and federal courts. Katie’s experience encompasses consumer class action, contract disputes, automotive litigation, insurance-coverage disputes, tort claims, and other personal injury claims.
Katie received her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where she earned Dean’s List recognition all semesters and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was also a member of, and published commentor for, the UMKC Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant for the legal research and writing department.
Prior to her legal career, Katie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Avila University and spent six years working as an intensive care nurse in the University of Kansas Health System.
Katie is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, and a graduate of Notre Dame de Sion High School and Avila University, where she played women’s soccer.
